We can't say enough good things about this girl. She's sweet and quiet and very loving with us and her kids. She has a wonderful soft supple udder that is easy to milk. Which is a good thing because she produces LOTS of milk :)
( www.fiascofarm.com ) This website is wonderful and has loads of information for goat owners.
Portia freshened 2/4 with these beautiful girls. Ko-ach the huge spotted nubian pictured further down is their sire. They are long and tall and very feminine.
Pearl came to us from Here Be Goats Farm in Florida. www.herebegoats.com
Pearl is headed back home to Florida. We've enjoyed our time with her more than I can say... We're just so happy we'll be able to keep up with her and know she'll be in the best of hands : ) Thanks Kelley : )
Pearl freshened with a single buck 2/10, Sun's Wakin' Up Memphis. He is a giant boy with a dark chocolate coat and a few white splashes here and there. He is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Memphis is at his new home with Tim and Renee Stokes. We can't wait to see his kids this fall!!!
At almost 6 weeks into her FIRST freshening we couldn't be happier with Pearl's udder! Just look at how her fore blends right into her tummy and super attachment in the rear. And what balance! She's producing around 8 lbs a day fairly consistently. She's really special.
Promise freshened 4/3 with twin bucklings. She had a fairly easy time kidding and mom and boys are doing great at their new home with Tim and Renee Stokes.
Promise is also headed back home to Florida. We will miss her SO MUCH! She's such a character... she's locked me in the feed stall twice, seriously! just slid that lock right in place and slammed down the hammer! She drinks from the water hose and tries to keep me from rolling the hose back up by standing on it : ) Love this goat so much. But knowing she'll be in good hands also gives me peace.
Babe is headed back to Florida also. He, Pearl and Promise have been pure joy to me. I'll miss them all so much. But look forward to following their careers with great anticipation.
